Twenty-five of THF’s 109 completed games came down to a single goal, nine went to overtime and three finished tied. Two winners arrived with the clock all but gone — an overtime goal with 5.6 seconds left at 16U and a regulation winner with 12.7 seconds left at 13U — and a 13U goaltender shut out the same opponent twice in a day.
Weekend Headlines
Game of the Weekend — Mercer Chiefs 13U and Rockets Hockey Club 13U Premier packed eight goals into the third period. Rockets scored three times in 38 seconds to lead 8-7 before Koppany Nagy-Melykuti buried his fifth of the game with 12.7 seconds on the clock to win it 9-8. Quinn Dajnowicz finished with six assists, including the one on the winner.
Top Player Performance — Jamieson Whitty scored 10 goals across NY Dynamo 10U’s two games and added four assists for a 14-point weekend.
OT Hero — Grayson Schiavoni won it for Flyers Elite – BBNA 16U with 5.6 seconds left in overtime, 2-1 over Notre Dame Hockey Academy 16U, off a feed from Carter Pate. A day earlier Nikolas Sowinski had tied the first meeting with 13.6 seconds left in regulation and then won that one in overtime for Notre Dame.
Goalie Performance — Collins Bologna shut out Jersey Shore Lightning 13U twice in a day for Hartford Jr. Wolfpack 13U, 2-0 and 3-0, turning aside 60 shots across the pair. James Caton was every bit as busy at 14U, stopping 41 in a 2-1 Mercer Chiefs win.
Unbeaten Weekend — Mercer Chiefs 14U went 4-0, the only THF team to win four. Mid-Fairfield 12U, Red Bank Generals 12U and Rockets Hockey Club 9U each went 3-0.

9U — Two Overtime Finishes
New York Saints 9U climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat NY Dynamo 9U 6-5 in overtime, James Olson scoring three along the way and Connor Sloan finishing it from Landon Granieri. The other overtime game went to CT Chiefs 9U, where Zachary Manafort won it 5-4. Rockets Hockey Club 9U swept all three of their games, Christian Cox scoring seven over the weekend.
10U — Whitty Scores 10
Jamieson Whitty’s 10 goals in two games against Mercer Chiefs 10U were the weekend’s biggest individual haul anywhere in THF. CT Jr. Rangers 10U also went unbeaten behind Jack Smith’s five goals and nine points. Team Maryland 10U took a pair of tight ones from Philadelphia Revolution Elite 10U, 4-2 and 3-2, then ran into PBK 10U, who won both ends of a Sunday doubleheader by 5-3 with Rowan Dolan scoring three in one of them.
11U — Arrows Settle It in Overtime
John McPartland’s overtime goal gave NY Arrows 11U a 4-3 win over PAL Jr Islanders 11U Orange. Alexander Gibson scored six across three games for CT Chiefs 11U, three of them in a 5-3 win over Rockets Hockey Club 11U. Woodbridge Wolfpack 11U took both of theirs from NY Dynamo 11U, the second a 3-2 finish.
12U — Nineteen Games, Four One-Goal Finishes
NY Dynamo 12U erased a two-goal deficit against NYC Hockey Club 12U and won 7-6 on Parker Moser’s goal with 52.3 seconds left; in the other half of that series Connor Murray stopped 45 shots in a 4-1 NYC win. Team Maryland 12U and Philadelphia Revolution Elite 12U traded the lead four times in a 6-4, and Joey Mazza’s hat trick carried Philadelphia Revolution Elite past PBK 12U 8-7. Mid-Fairfield 12U and Red Bank Generals 12U both went 3-0, with Gage Hardy posting two shutouts for Mid-Fairfield.
13U — Nine-Eight in the Last Thirteen Seconds
The division produced the weekend’s wildest finish, Mercer Chiefs 13U beating Rockets Hockey Club 13U Premier 9-8 on Koppany Nagy-Melykuti’s fifth goal of the night with 12.7 seconds left. Collins Bologna’s two shutouts of Jersey Shore Lightning 13U were the other story, 60 saves across a 2-0 and a 3-0 for Hartford Jr. Wolfpack 13U. PBK 13U won 2-1 and then tied 1-1 with Philadelphia Revolution Elite 13U, Samuel Brockman making 35 saves in the draw, and Brooks Matulich scored four as PAL Jr. Islanders 13U beat Mid-Fairfield 13U.
14U — Aces Erase Three
Springfield Aces 14U trailed Hartford Jr. Wolfpack 14U by three goals and scored the next four to win 4-3, James Goodwin tying it and Noah Burniske getting the winner with just over four minutes to play. Mercer Chiefs 14U went 4-0 on the strength of their goaltending — James Caton stopped 41 in a 2-1 win and Dustin Zoino 43 more in a 4-2. Preston Carmody’s shutout gave Cyclones Academy 14U a 2-0 win over Flyers Elite 14U.
15U — Malcolm Beats the Overtime Clock
Travis Malcolm scored with 15 seconds left in overtime to give Mercer Chiefs 15U a 2-1 win over Flyers Elite – BBNA 15U, Alexander Mozuraitis with the assist. PBK 15U won both of theirs against PAL Jr. Islanders 15U, 3-1 and then a shutout from Broc EARDLEY. CT Jr. Rangers 15U National also went 2-0, Eli Wizda scoring four over the two games.
16U — Four Overtime Games
Seven of 16U’s 15 games were decided by one goal and four of them needed overtime, more than any other division. Notre Dame Hockey Academy 16U and Flyers Elite – BBNA 16U went to extra time on consecutive days: Nikolas Sowinski tied the first with 13.6 seconds left in regulation and won it in overtime, then Grayson Schiavoni answered with 5.6 seconds left in overtime the next day. Edward Schiff’s overtime goal gave PAL Jr. Islanders 16U a 3-2 win over Seacoast Academy 16U, Ryan Lee settled South Kent School 16U’s 2-1 win over Team Maryland 16U, and Connor Paulmenn’s seven points led Mercer Chiefs 16U Premier to a 2-0 weekend.
18U — Kosokhar Twice, Including the Winner
Jacob Kosokhar scored twice for NY Arrows 18U, the second in overtime for a 3-2 win over New York Saints 18U. PAL Jr. Islanders 18U tied Seacoast 18U SPA 3-3 and then won the rematch 3-0, Maddox Franks turning aside 26 shots in the shutout. Quinn McCarthy scored three as Springfield Pics 18U beat Cyclones Academy 18U Prep.
