WHAT IS IT?
KRACH is a team's won/loss ratio multiplied by strength of schedule
WHY DO WE USE KRACH RATHER THAN POINTS?
- THF teams play an unbalanced schedule
- Teams do not play all the teams in their respective division
- Teams that play a more difficult schedule would be punished in the standings based on points
- The THF offers 2 season structures, full season and partial season.
- Teams in an age division/classification will not play an equal
number of games.
- Using KRACH rather than points earned will balance this so
teams playing fewer games are fairly measured within their
division
DISCLAIMER: KRACH Ratings will fluctuate greatly early in the season. Some of the extreme numbers we expect to normalize as the season progresses.
- At the beginning of the season, all teams will be in 1 division for your respective level
- While there will be no subdivisions (eg. Premier & Elite), teams will be scheduled against teams of a similar level with the intent of making as many games as competitive as possible.
- At the beginning of the season, standings will be sorted by number of games played.
- In November, we will begin sorting the rankings as determined by KRACH ratings.
- Rankings will be updated monthly as determined by KRACH.
- In December, the division may be divided into subdivisions based on KRACH ratings.
- Playoff qualification will be determined by each team’s KRACH rating.
- If there are 9 or less teams, a minimum of 4 teams will qualify for for the Playoffs (6 if 10 or more teams)
