Repost from Westchester Express

The U15/16/18 National bound teams will be aligned with the Danbury Hat Tricks NAHL team for the 2022-23 season. Express coaches Bob Thornton and Eric Conway will also be working with the Danbury NAHL team and NY Apple Core in the EHL, filling the roles of Director of Player Personal and Director of Scouting.

“For over 35 years we have tried to provide a path for hockey players to enjoy the game and help them achieve their goals. This affiliation provides a local option, so players can stay home while developing to their fullest potential for College Coaches to recruit,” stated Steve Santini.

The U18 Express roster (05/06) will feature in-season player promotion directly to the NAHL and EHL teams. The U16 and U15 teams will be closely monitored by the NAHL team, as well as promoting deserving future players to practice with the NAHL team during the season. This working agreement allows for all U15/16/18 players within the Express to be exposed directly to the NAHL and EHL all season long, with Brewster and Danbury only 20 minutes apart. “As an organization we run our U15/16/18 teams the same way, with a shared coaching staff all on same page working together to promote players up the ladder. From a junior hockey standpoint we will have the NAHL up the road in Danbury and EHL Apple Core Junior Team in Brewster offering several options. We will also look for opportunities for players who prefer the Prep School option,” said Thornton.
