Tomorrow is THF Game of the Week Game Day, a Live-Stream game broadcast series on the Federations Hockey Channel. Each week throughout the season, family, friends, coaches and scouts will log on to watch exciting U18 THF match-ups via the THF Mobile App or Website. This week’s game features NJ 87’s U18 visiting NJ Hitmen U18, Saturday at 6:15 pm ET from Ice Vault Arena in Wayne, NJ.

The THF has partnered with Play-by-Play Productions of Princeton, NJ to produce the HD telecasts. Play-by-Play is an industry leader in Live-Streaming elite youth and amateur sporting events, serving dozens of clients from throughout the U.S. and overseas.

The Federation Educational Series will feature presentations for our players, families, and coaches on the landscape of hockey along with the Player Advancement Model for players. The first presentation will feature College Hockey Inc.

College Hockey Inc. is a non-profit established to ensure that all talented young hockey players and their families understand the unmatched development opportunities presented by NCAA Division I hockey.

The THF is working with College Hockey Inc. to invite THF 14U, 15U, and 16U players and their families to an exclusive webinar presentation. The main topic of the webinar will be the path to NCAA DI college hockey, and specifically what players can do to maintain their eligibility as they explore their hockey options. All are welcome to attend however, the presentation is targeted toward 14U, 15U, and 16U birth years.

11U: With a shootout winning goal against the Aviators, Max Cohen (F) continues to lead the Hitmen in scoring. Jersey’s leading scorer added another 4 goals to his stat line this weekend in 2 games. “Max scored 4 goals and he added a goal in the shootout win versus the Aviators on September 18. Max has led our team in scoring through the early part of the season. He scores big goals while using his creativity and defensive responsibility to be a complete player for our team,” said Coach Cody Inglis.

12U: Pacing 2 points per game, Tano Navarro (F) capped a two game weekend with 2 goals and 2 assists for the Mercer Chiefs. “After struggling to create offense recently, we needed a big game from one of our forwards and Tano did not disappoint with a 4 point game to end the weekend,” said Coach Ross Carmichael.

13U: PAL JR Islanders’ Forward, Michael Kandrach dominated this week with 5 total points. In Sunday’s contest, Kandrach logged a 3 goal performance – including the GWG, which was unassisted. “Michael had a great weekend in the THF. Which was capped off with a 3 goal performance on Sunday 9/18 which included the unassisted game winner which resulted in a 4-1 PAL Victory over the Philadelphia Revolution,” said Coach Mike Kandrach.

16U: Leading his team to a weekend sweep, Preston Baker (G) stopped 37 of the 39 shots he faced this weekend. The Hitmen goaltender recorded a shutout in one of Jersey’s two contests this weekend. “Preston Baker went 2-0 this weekend, with one shut out. He stopped 37 of 39 shots for a .948 save percentage,” said Coach Anthony Yelovich.

18U: Esmark’s Brody Simko (F) dominated through 4 games this weekend, netting double-digit goals (10) and 4 assists. The 14-point weekend by Simko was highlighted by a 7 goal performance again the Minnesota Grey Ducks. “Simko scored 14 points (10 goals, 4 assists) in four games played … including 7 goals in a win over the Minnesota Grey Ducks,” said Coach Dave Kosick.

The Tier 1 Hockey Federation is excited to announce that the Amateur Hockey Report will be covering all ages of the THF during the 2022-2023 season. Amateur Hockey Report, entering their 22nd year, is one of the leading ‘unbiased’ sources for scouting with the biggest collection of scouted player reports and over 100,000 player profiles. Clients of AHR include the NHL, CHL, NCAA and many junior hockey programs. AHR covers U10 to U18 and juniors of all levels, not just elite players allowing all players exposure to every college and junior team. 

AHR will write player and team features for the Tier 1 Hockey Federation. Plus, THF players have the opportunity to register through AHR to read player reports on the players in the league. “Amateur Hockey Report is the premier scouting service for 10U-18U in the country, the THF is excited to work with AHR to ensure that all players are gaining the necessary exposure to assist them in their advanced goals and aspirations,” stated AHF Commissioner Tony Zasowski.

“The Tier 1 Hockey Federation is an innovative Tier 1 league with a bright future and AHR is excited to find the talent it holds and get those players exposure to the highest levels of the game,” said AHR owner Eric Krupka.
