KRACH — short for Ken’s Ratings for American College Hockey — is a mathematically based ranking system that provides an objective and fair way to compare teams based on their performance throughout the season. Unlike traditional standings that rely solely on wins and losses, KRACH accounts for strength of schedule and quality of opponents, giving a more accurate picture of each team’s overall competitiveness across all divisions.
By using KRACH, the Tier 1 Hockey Federation (THF) ensures that teams are evaluated on both performance and the difficulty of their matchups — rewarding programs that challenge themselves and excel against top-tier competition. This system also plays a key role in determining playoff seeding, promoting transparency and competitive balance throughout the league.
KRACH-based standings for all divisions are now live on the THF Game Center.
