History was made as VC Academy captured the inaugural J18 Championship, defeating Hawkesbury Le Sommet by a final score of 4-2 in an exciting title matchup.
Leading the way offensively, Massimo Panetta and Emanuel Di Paolo each recorded two-goal performances, accounting for all four of VC Academy’s goals. Di Paolo delivered a standout performance, adding two assists to cap off an incredible four-point game and play a role in every goal scored.
Between the pipes, Vincent Tenti was a difference-maker, turning aside 28 shots to backstop the victory and secure the championship.
Hawkesbury Le Sommet put up a strong fight, but VC Academy’s offensive firepower and steady goaltending proved to be the difference as they etched their name in the history books as the first-ever J18 champions.
